To ensure we deliver the highest quality service and the best possible results, here are a few key details that help us tailor our approach to your needs. Much like the tale of Sisyphus, the task of clearing gumballs and pet waste can feel endless—but that’s where we come in. Using specialized tools and efficient methods, we make the process effortless for our customers. While we strive for thoroughness, we can't guarantee that every last gumball or piece of pet waste will be collected; more are sure to fall tomorrow, and we will be there to pick it up.
Sweet Gumball Seed Pod Collection
Here are a few tips to help us get the best results when collecting your sweet gum seed pods.
Yard Debris
Leaf Litter, Sticks, and other yard debris can clog our equipment, slow down progress, and reduce the overall effectiveness of the service.
Grass Height
For optimal performance, our machine works best on grass that is kept under 4 inches tall.
Wet Yards
We understand that weather is beyond our control, but our machine operates best on dry ground. Wet and muddy conditions can cause clogs and slow down progress. If your yard is too wet on your scheduled service day, we will reschedule at no extra charge.
Pet Waste
Just like with muddy yards, our machine has a habit of picking up pet droppings when we don't want it to. Luckily, we offer pet waste removal too—let us handle both in one visit! For safety of other clients their pets we cannot use the gumball collection machine on yards saturated with pet waste.

Pet Security
Please make sure your pets are secure during our visit. We love animals, but we'd rather not find out just how dedicated your pup is to protecting the yard!
Gates
We won’t be scaling your fence to get into your yard! If we can’t access the service area, we’ll give you a call to arrange entry or reschedule the service.
Obsticals
There might be some spots in your yard, like under bushes or tight corners, that are tricky to get to. We won’t be able to clean those areas, but we'll do our best to cover everything we can!
Ick and Illiness
While we’re not veterinarians, we’ve certainly seen our fair share of poop! If we spot anything unusual, we'll let you know what we’ve observed. We also take extra care to sanitize our shoes and equipment between visits to keep your yard (and your pet) safe from any potential transmission.
Trash and Recycling Bin Service
Here are a few tips to help us to better serve you.
Collection Schedule Awareness
We will communicate with the city to do our best to know when you trash pickup day is, but your confirmation of pick up day will allow EcoStride to align service accordingly.
Accessible Bin Location
Bins should be easily accessible the evening prior to collection ( not locked in garages or behind gates without permission or key/code).
Secure Waste
Please ensure that the bins are properly closed and free of overflowing bags or recycling to prevent messes or issues with collection.
Bin Type and Quantity
We operate primarily in Carbondale, where trash and recycling bins should be those provided by the city to ensure proper collection by municipal services. We will take as many of these bins that you have to fill to the curb for collection.
